Does not work in IPhone SE

Not worth the money

First of all, insurance wont pay for this meter or your strips. If you test a lot, it gets very expensive. I test 7 times a day, before and after each meal, and at bedtime. Second, the meter is VERY finicky when using test strips. I had a 20% failure rate on the strips until I figured out just how touchy these strips are. (And Ive been testing for 20 years!) I lost about 30 strips and IHealth tech support couldnt have cared less. Third, the report is marginal. You can get much more meaningful reports from other glucose monitoring apps such as BGluMon. I bought this meter as a time saver with its automatic data entry. In reality its NOT a time saver. You still have to manually enter in the category of the reading (Before Lunch, etc) if the meter gets it wrong, which is very often. You still have to enter medication and amounts. So whats the point? All youre saving with IHealth is entering in 3 digits for your glucose reading! It makes more sense to get a free meter, free strips, test OFTEN, and manually enter your data into another app. I use BGluMon and the reports are excellent! Data entry is as fast or faster than IHealth. As soon as I go through my last 4 bottles of IHealth strips, the whole thing is going into the trash can.

Good idea but needs improvement

Good idea of tracking on the phone. I was excited for it but ever since I got it, it has been inconsistent at startup. Sometimes it recognizes the meter and sometimes it does NOT which was more often. It had to do with time lapse between opening the app and inserting the meter into the audio jack. If it does not recognize, then you have to kill the app and restart. Got tired after a while of doing this. The second problem is that the battery dies out within a month. So 2 months later i am done fighting this one. So one they have to improve batter life or use phone power and second fix the software!!

Body shaming built right in

I bought this device to track my health. I cant even put my proper weight in because it doesnt fall within the range the app offers. Its a little ridiculous in this day to have to make a post like this about a health device.

Too many bugs

Needs to be fixed wont even start after third step of set up. Horrible

Much improved software

This new version of the software is great. I recently started using the Ihealthlabs Align, the previous version of the software was so bad that I thought the meter was defective. It took multiple times of shutting down the app and inserting and reinsert the align and or strips before you could take a reading. This new version does away with all of that.

Easy to use with a few quirks

First accuracy of the meter. Took a sample at the same time as a blood draw for labs. 188 vs. The 212 from the lab. Thats within the margin of error and my doctor said no meter will be as accurate as the lab. The app works ok. Another comment pointed out that the guess at before/after meal tends to be wrong. This is true for me. If you dont sync the meter when taking the sample you can forget to fix the item. To improve that I think a customizable schedule would work. My doctor says to check first thing in the morning for fasting and then 2 hours after a meal. If I can set that it will know my 2 pm test is my lunch measure. Also a ballpark timeframe for lunch could give you an alert for when to test. The device tries to sync to the phone and goes back.and fourth. Its faster to open the app than to wait for the device to go to local mode when testing. TL;DR I like the equipment, seems accurate enough. The app is pretty good but could use some user experience focus on usability. Definitely happy and if the offered improvements were added Id go 5 star.

good start

decent app with Bluetooth glucometer integration and option for manual entry as well. reminder/alarm feature was something Ive been searching for. I cant figure out why the app sends my device 4 separate notifications for a single scheduled reminder?! the reports are good enough for me, havent tried sending to doc yet. would like to see a spot to record weight in future. pretty good app for my needs this far.

Was ok , now, not so much

This app started out ok. Since the last update my test strips are all expired and I cannot use them. I opened a brand new bottle and the app says it is expired. A total waste of money. DO NOT BUY THE TESTER OR THE TEST STRIPS!!

Manag application

The application was working well, but now the Manag application is not working .

Crash

Crash when tap pn manage

Test strips- a wasteful system

There should be some way to override this. Mine expires 2017. It is a money grabbing policy. Most of the other meters do not do this. Expire data is listed on the bottle. For those who are pre diabetic do not need to check as frequently. Please make an update to your policy and setup.

Need iPhone 7 update

I am having trouble getting the iPhone 7 to recognize my iHealth meter. My iPhone 6 recognized the meter on the first try. Now when I use the Apple lightening adapter, it takes 3 tries for the phone to recognize the meter. This morning, I couldnt connect after 6 tries (I gave up).

Glucose strips

I cant seem to get this app to order more glucose strips or anything else. When I click on the icon it sends me right back to the menu. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Needs a tweak

Im using this app in conjunction with the iHealth Smart Glucometer. In theory, the app provides everything I want to monitor my blood sugar. My complaint is the lack of consistency in nomenclature between the iPhone and iPad apps. Things are arranged entirely different between to two apps. This difference would almost be acceptable if they labeled the functions the same between the two. There also appear to be different functions between each app...on my phone app, under the settings tab is a "sync" feature, presumably to sync data from phone to the iHealth cloud storage (documentation is not the best). The iPad app does not have this same sync feature. Syncs also do not seem to be complete. I can have 3 data sets showing on my phone, but only 2 on the cloud and iPad. In general, I feel this app is on the right track but they are badly in need of some fresh eyes on these inconsistencies. For these reasons Im giving only a three star rating. If they would correct the inconsistencies between iPhone and iPad apps and correct the sync issue, I would bump that rating up to 4 stars. (I reserve my 5-star ratings for stellar and beyond expectation apps)

Turns off audio

When I open the app any and all music stops playing. It does not matter which app I am using. This app should not need to override my audio for any reason.

Microphone - no

The app works fine, but it always wants me to enable the microphone. I dont need it to listen to me. Really, never, no, not now. Not ever. Please stop this "feature".

Works fine

Works fine for me without any problems or issues. The meters are pretty accurate. I take my glucose reading just before going in for blood workup and the IHealth meter is always within 3-4 points. Not bad at all, and a lot better than some of the others Ive used. The app with 3 month average makes it easy to calculate a best guess estimated A1c reading. Be nice if the app did that on its own.

Does NOT work with iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2

Does not recognize meter even though its plugged in correctly and always reports "Device in Standby Mode". Useless.

App REQUIRES hardware

This app should not be in the Canadian App Store, it requires you to buy Glucometers not available in Canada. There is no way to use the app without them.
